Challenger Disaster

On 28th January 1986 NASA space shuttle challenger exploded within 73 seconds of its take off, killing all seven crew members including a school teacher (first civilian) to travel to space.

Jolted by the failure NASA decided to suspend space shuttle operations for nearly three years.

चैलेंजर का हादसा

28 जनवरी 1986 को आज के दिन नासा का अंतरिक्ष विमान चैलेंजर उड़ान के 73 सेकंड बाद ही दुर्घटनाग्रस्त हो गया था। इस में सवार 7 अंतरिक्ष यात्रियों की मृत्यु हो गई थी। जिसमे एक विद्यालय का अध्यापक (पहला नागरिक यात्री)भी था। 

इस चैलेंजर के विस्फोट के बाद अमरीकी अंतरिक्ष एजेंसी नासा ने अपने अंतरिक्ष कार्यक्रमों पर तीन साल की रोक लगा दी थी।
