Martyr Udham Singh
(Indian Freedom Fighter)
On 13th March 1940, Udham Singh took revenge of Jallianwala Bagh (Amritsar, Punjab) massacre by killing Michael 'O' Dwyer (The Lt. Governor of Punjab at the time of the massacre).
He shot dead Dwyer in London (England). He was arrested, charged with murder and hanged on 31st July, 1940.
The great son of India Udham Singh was born on 26th December 1899 and was associated with the Gadar Party.
Udham Singh Nagar 'A district in the state of Uttrakhand' is named after him.
Note:- Jallianwala Bagh massacre was the Darkest Episode during Colonial British India. On 13th April 1919 General Dyer ordered soldiers to shoot at peaceful protesters all unarmed, killing more than 1000 in cold blood and injuring as many innocent civilians.

13 मार्च 1940 को उधम सिंह ने जलियाँवाला बाग हत्याकांड का बदला लंदन में माइकल 'ओ' ड्वायर को मारकर लिया था। जलियाँवाला बाग हत्याकांड के समय ड्वायर पंजाब के उप-राज्यपाल थे। उधम सिंह पर मुकदमा चलाया गया और 31 जुलाई 1940 को उन्हें फांसी दे दी गई।
भारत के इस महान सपूत का जन्म 26 दिसंबर 1899 को हुआ था। वह ग़दर पार्टी के एक सदस्य भी थे।
भारत में उत्तराखंड के एक जिले को उधम सिंह नगर के नाम से जाना जाता है।
नोट:- जलियाँवाला बाग भारत में अंग्रेजो के राज का एक काला अध्याय था और रहेगा। 13 अप्रैल 1919 को जनरल डायर ने निहत्थे लोगों पर गोलियाँ चलवाई थी। हजार से ज्यादा निर्दोष लोग मारे गए और कई सौ लोग घायल हुए थे।
"जलियाँवाला बाग हत्याकांड का राक्षस जनरल डायर 1927 में ही हेम्रेज से मर गया था।"
