Gandhi Meets Lord Irwin
Before Lord Irwin inaugurated New Delhi as New Capital of 'Colonial British India' on 13th February in year 1931. He invited Mahatma Gandhi To meet him at Viceroy House, the first meeting of Gandhi with Irwin happened on 17th February 1930. Irwin-Gandhi met eight times and on 5th March 1931 Irwin/Gandhi pact was signed.
Note:- Gandhi was released from prison before the scheduled first meeting.
The pact ended the Civil - Disobedience Movement and in return Britishers gave some political concessions to Indians. The pact paved the way for Gandhi to attend Second Round Table Conference.

लॉर्ड इरविन गाँधी वार्ता
13 फरवरी 1931 को लॉर्ड इरविन द्वारा नई दिल्ली को ब्रिटिश भारत की नई राजधानी घोषित करने से पहले इरविन की मुलाकात वॉयसराय हॉउस में महात्मा गाँधी से हुई। आठ बार इरविन/गाँधी की मुलाकात हुई और 5 मार्च 1931 को इरविन - गाँधी समझौता किया गया।
नोट:- गाँधीजी को पहली वार्ता से पहले जेल से रिहा किया गया था।
गाँधी/इरविन समझौते के बाद सविनय अवज्ञा आंदोलन रद्द हो गया और बदले में ब्रिटिश शासन ने भारतीयों को कुछ रियायतें दी।
इस समझौते ने गाँधी के दूसरे गोल मेज सम्मलेन में शामिल होने का रास्ता साफ़ कर दिया।
