18th State of India

On 25th January 1971, a new (18th) state of Himachal Pradesh was created. 
During the British Raj the current capital of Himachal Pradesh (Shimla) was the summer capital of the Colonial Raj.
In 1959 after the capture of Tibet by Chinese. The Dalai Lama settled at the town of Dharmshala in Himachal Pradesh.
Since then Dalai Lama is running a Tibetan govt. in exile at Dharamshala. 

 Facts-
The world famous Kalka-Shimla railway was built in 1906.
The state of Himachal Pradesh has 12 districts & is a favourite tourist destination for Indians & Foreigners. 
Himachal is famous all over the world for beautiful landscapes & fruits (specially variety of Apples).


भारत का 18वां राज्य

25 जनवरी 1971 को भारत का 18वां राज्य हिमाचल प्रदेश बना था। हिमाचल प्रदेश की राजधानी (शिमला) ब्रिटिश राज के दौरान उनकी ग्रीष्म राजधानी थी। 
1959 में दलाई लामा तिब्बत को चीन द्वारा हथियाने के बाद हिमाचल प्रदेश के खूबसूरत कस्बे धर्मशीला में आकर बस गए थे। तब से दलाई लामा वहीं रहकर तिब्बत की निर्वासन में सरकार चला रहे हैं। 

 तथ्य -
दुनियाभर में मशहूर कालका-शिमला रेल लाइन 1906 में बिछाई गई थी। हिमाचल प्रदेश में कुल 12 जिले हैं। अपनी मनमोहक प्राकर्तिक सुंदरता के लिए हिमाचल पूरी दुनिया में प्रसिद्ध है। 
अपने मेवे-खास तौर पर सेब की अनेक किस्मों के लिए भी यह विश्व में प्रसिद्ध है।

American Serial Killer

Robert Bundy (Ted Bundy) was electrouted on 24th January 1989. Bundy was notorious and ruthless in 1970's he raped and murdered many young girls and women. 
For a long time he denied all crimes, he committed against girls & women. But a decade later he confessed to almost 30 of his criminal acts. He was sentenced to death and was executed by electrocution.
In the past the most notorious criminal of 20th century had escaped from custody many times. 

What is electrocution?

'Electrocution is a method of executing a criminal, the convicted person is infused with a heavy charge of electric current'.

अमरीकी कातिल क्रमिक (हत्यारा)

रोबॉट बण्डी (टैड बण्डी) को आज के दिन बिजली के करंट से मौत की सजा दी गई थी।
एक खौफ था यह शक्स 1970 के दशक में अनगिनत लड़कियों और महिलाओं से बलात्कार और हत्या का आरोपी। कई सालों तक यह व्यक्ति अमरीकी पुलिस को चकमा देता रहा। पकड़ा गया पर कभी अपने अपराधों को स्वीकार नहीं किया।  पर सालों बाद इस अपराधी ने लगभग तीस लड़कियों, महिलाओं से बलात्कार और उनकी हत्या का अपराध कबूल किया। 
20 शताब्दी का सबसे कुख्यात अपराधी था। जिसे 24 जनवरी 1989 को बिजली का करंट देकर मौत दे दी गई।

Birth Anniversary of Netaji

On 23rd January 1987, The Great Nationalist of Bharat (India) Subhash Chandra Bose was born in the Bengal province. He was a brilliant student. He passed 'ICS' examination and got 04th position. In 1921 he resigned & in 1927 he became the general secretary of Indian National Congress. Bose went to Europe 1930. In 1938 he became the president of 'INC' but after differences with Gandhi, he resigned as president of INC. During world war II, Bose was in favour of a mass movement against Britishers but congress leaders were against it. Subhash Chandra Bose was arrested and kept under house arrest. He gave slip to Britishers and fled to Germany.
Unsure of German support, he went to Japan 1943, and Indian National Army was reorganised by him. 
On 04th July 1944, he told Indians in Burma (now Mayanmar) "Give Me your blood , and I shall give you freedom". The INA fought against Britishers on many fronts during World War-II, with Japenese support. But the defeat of Japan, gave a big blow to INA. 
Troops of INA surrendered. 
Subhash Chandra Bose died on 18th August 1945 in a plane crash in Formosa (Now Taiwan). 
His death remains a mystery.

नेताजी का जन्मदिन 

23 जनवरी 1987 को भारत के राष्ट्रवादी, महान सैनानी सुभाष चंद्र बोस का बंगाल प्रान्त में जन्म हुआ था। हमेशा से पढ़ाई में अच्छा प्रर्दशन करने वाले बोस आई.सी.एस. की परिक्षा में चौथे स्थान पर आए। 1921 में अपने पद से इस्तीफा दिया।  1930 में भारतीय राष्ट्रीय कांग्रेस के महा सचिव और 1938 में कांग्रेस के अध्यक्ष बने। परन्तु महात्मा गाँधी से मतभेद के कारण कांग्रेस छोड़ दी। दूसरे विश्व युद्ध के दौरान बोस अंग्रेजों के खिलाफ लड़ने के मूढ़ में थे पर कोंग्रेसी नेताओं से सहयोग नहीं मिला। उन्हें नजरबंद कर दिया गया, उन्होंने सुरक्षा घेरे को चकमा दिया और कई देशों से होते हुए जर्मनी चले गए बाद में जापान। आजाद हिन्द फौज को पूर्णस्थापित किया, दूसरे विश्व युद्ध के दौरान जापानी सहयोग से अंग्रेजो को कई मोर्चो पर टक्कर दी। पर जापान की हार हुई और आजाद हिन्द फौज के सैनिकों ने आत्मसमर्पण कर दिया। इस महान व्यक्ति की मृत्यु 18 अगस्त 1945 को एक विमान दुर्घटना में हुई। उनकी मृत्यु आज भी एक रहस्य है। 
"1944 में भारतीयों को बर्मा (अब म्यांमार) में संबधित करते हुए उन्होने कहा था -तुम मुझे खून दो मैं तुम्हें आजादी दूँगा-"

Bloody Sunday

Father Gapon led a large domenstration of workers in St. Petersburg to petition the ruler of Russia 'known as Czar' at his winter palace. 
Instead of listening to workers, he ordered troops to fire on protesters. History remembers that day as 'Bloody Sunday'. More than 200 people were killed in cold blood by troops. 
The killings sparked the revolution against the Czar and in 1917 The Great Russian revolution happened and ended the rule of Czar (Czars ruled Russia for 350 years).

खुनी रविवार

22 जनवरी 1905 को फ़ादर गैबॉन के नेतृत्व में रूस के मजदूर रूस के राजा जार को एक याचिका देने उसके शरद महल में गए थे। पर जार ने उनकी बात नहीं सुनी और अपने सैनिकों से मजदूरों पर गोलियाँ चलवा दी। लगभग 200 से अधिक को मार दिया गया। 
इतिहास उस दिन को 'खुनी रविवार' के नाम से याद रखता है। पुरे रूस में इस हत्याकांड के बाद आक्रोश बड़ा और 1917 में महान रुसी क्रांति ने जार के शासन को ख़त्म कर दिया। 
जार साम्राज्य ने रूस में 350 वर्ष राज किया।

Supersonic Concorde Aircraft

On 21st January in 1976 First Concorde Passenger Aircraft took off from London to Bahrain in Gulf. The makers called it the safest aircraft but the Supersonic Jet Air France Flight 4590 crashed on 25th July 2000, killing 109 people. 
The Concorde was subsequently grounded. 
Before this crash, the Concorde had the history of having near crashes.


सुपरसोनिक कॉनकॉर्ड विमान 

आज के दिन 1976 को दुनिया का सबसे सुरक्षित माने जाने वाला यात्री विमान कॉनकॉर्ड अपनी पहली उड़ान पर लन्दन से बहरीन के लिए निकला था। 
लेकिन 25 जुलाई 2000 में एअर फ्रांस का कॉनकॉर्ड यात्री जहाज दुर्घटना ग्रस्त हो गया था। इस विमान हादसे में 109 (चालक तथा यात्री) मारे गए थे। 
दुनिया के इस सबसे बेहतरीन सुपरसोनिक विमान का इतिहास दुर्घटनाओं से भरा रहा। सन 2000 में कॉनकॉर्ड की उड़ानों पर पूरी तरह रोक लगा दी गई।
